BEOC’s College Connections Initiative is committed to helping students and community members learn about and gain access to the college experience.
2019 College Tour – Brooklyn College
The goal of College Connections Initiative is to assist BEOC students and the community in becoming familiar with the college application process, selecting the appropriate college and major, financing and scholarship opportunities, and becoming familiar with the overall college environment. Students have the opportunity to attend college tours to local CUNY, SUNY and private colleges, as well as attending the annual college fair at BEOC.
BEOC College Connections Advisors are also available to facilitate resource fairs, seminars, and workshops to community organizations on college readiness and access. All College Connections and College Access services at BEOC are free to students and the community. For upcoming events, click here.
Partnership with SUNY Empire State College
BEOC prides itself on providing diverse learning opportunities to students through partnership. As such, we are pleased to announce that BEOC has recently signed a partnership agreement with SUNY Empire State College. This partnership offers the following partner benefits:
- Waiver of the SUNY Empire State College $50 orientation fee
- Award of a one-time $100 Better Together scholarship for participants enrolled in a degree program
This partnerships will allow our students access to incentives that will assist in their college education. SUNY Empire State College offers flexible degree programs that support adult students, and a blend of in-person and virtual classes.
