Advisement Center

The Advisement Center provides academic and career advisement, student support services, and student life activities. Advisors provide support in academic and career development to all students while helping them navigate the academic environment, develop life skills, and set career goals. Advisors assist students with completing their programs successfully, and provide referrals to internal and external support services as needed.

The Advisement Center offers a number of seminars and workshops throughout the semester to encourage and support the learning process. In addition, the Center sponsors various social activities, such as field trips, to support positive interactions among students and aid in student development. For upcoming events, click here.

Student Support Services Accommodations
BEOC provides reasonable accommodations and academic adjustments, when appropriate, to individuals with disabilities, observing religious practices, who have pregnancy or childbirth-related medical conditions, and victims of domestic violence/stalking/sex offenses.

Students who need accommodations or academic adjustments should visit the Advisement Center and speak to a student advisor. Students requesting accommodations will be asked to complete a Request for Accommodations form and provide supporting documentation. Students who identify as having learning, physical or other documented disabilities will receive classroom support, testing accommodations and referral to other agencies.

For additional information, contact the Advisement Center at 718-802-3320.
